September 10, 2018

This past Saturday (September 8),METALLICA presented the North Dakota's Great Plains Food Bank with a check for $10,000, representing a portion of ticket sales from its concert at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.

Benefitting food banks throughout the country and encouraging fans to take an active role in the fight to end hunger, METALLICA also offered free tickets to volunteers of the hunger-relief organization.

Volunteers at the Great Plains Food Bank Fargo warehouse had two chances to win a set of tickets and one opportunity to win a collection of the band's 13 studio albums.

Through its All Within My Hands Foundation and throughout the 33 stops on its current North American tour, METALLICA is raising awareness for the 42 million people facing food insecurity throughout the country and encouraging fans to help those in need. One of the most successful acts in musical history, METALLICA has won nine Grammy Awards and sold more than 145 million albums worldwide.

In North Dakota alone, one in nine individuals struggles with not having enough food to eat each day. Each year, the Great Plains Food Bank provides needed food assistance to more than 97,000 individuals with nearly half of those being children and seniors.

Thank You to Metallica and their All Within My Hands Foundation! They donated tickets and a collection of their studio...
